Welcome to the Grand Hotel

A touch of class in Historic Hogansville Georgia, just a short hop from the bustle of Atlanta. The Grand Hotel offers nine charming rooms, complete with private baths, and access to a stunning wrap-around porch.

Originally built in the late eighteen hundreds, the Hotel has been completely remodeled and furnished throughout with period antiques.

The Grand Hotel is featured in the hit AMC show,
“The Walking Dead.”

Come see where the show was shot and tour some of the iconic rooms and veranda where a pivotal episode of this show takes place.

Visitors zooming through Georgia along I-85 (Exit 28 for the hotel) may enjoy a stop at this authentic old-fashioned hotel in a small Georgia town that’s fit for a movie set. Hogansville, first settled in the 1820s, is a typical railroad crossroads town that took its name from its first settler, William Hogan. Once bustling with churches, industry, and several hotels, the town now has settled into charming obscurity.

One of its old lodgings, built in the 1890s is The Grand Hotel, a veranda-en-circled Victorian building with a spacious, wood-paneled and brass-trimmed lobby. Its 9 rooms are distinctively and individually styled with a mix of antiques and colors. There are original prints and oils and fireplaces; three rooms having whirlpool tubs.

In addition to the rooms and back veranda, the Grand Hotel hosts the Grand Market and Cafe, which serves sandwiches, pastries, coffee and delicious smoothies.

From the hotel, managed by Lauren Ayers, visitors may stroll through the small town’s charming Victorian neighborhoods, past the cemetery where founder Hogan and many of his family are buried, or across the railroad tracks to any of the town’s restaurants. Across the street from the hotel are a number of charming retail shops.

Hogansville, 40 minutes south of Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport, is handy for visitors to Warm Springs, Callaway Gardens, and Newnan, which are all within 20 min.
